Samsung’s next mid-ranger device to join the J-series could be the Galaxy J7 2017 edition. The rumored smartphone has already been spotted on various occasions in the past like acquisition of Bluetooth certification and also the benchmarking website, Geekbench, revealing its hardware/software combination.

Now, according to a report from Phonearena, the said device has received the FCC certification which hints at a closer launch date at least in the US. The document below indeed carries the model number SM-J727 as has been previously reported so far.

But as always, receiving the certification from Federal Communications Commission means there is chance/possibility of the launch, and is not taken to be as confirmed.

Adding more flavour to the story, popular tipster @evleaks took to twitter and said, according to him, it is true and AT&T should get it. He further goes on to say that Verizon and U.S Cellular are awaiting its launch too.

As far as the specs are concerned, from what we have learned in the past, the smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC paired with 2GB RAM. The handset runs Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box, and sports a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED 1080p FHD display.

Camera wise, there is a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front facing camera.
