4G smartphones sale surpasses 3G in October 2015 for first time

International Data Corporation shows that a total of 9.3 million of smartphones were shipped in India in the month of October 2015.This is the report for only October. This data shows what exactly is the current demand scenario of Indian smartphone market.A very large share of 4G enabled smartphones were from companies like Lenovo & Samsung.

This report also stated that 4G enabled smartphone sales have surpassed 3G phones’sales for the first time in India.Samsung’s On5,On7,Oneplus 2,lenovo Vibe P1 & iPhone 6S were among the top sellers. These devices were the ones to increase the share of 4G phones in India. Many of them used online model for sale in India & this was a huge success for them. The model was actually started by Motorola in India. This gives companies a non-negotiable amount.

Kiran Kumar,Research Manager,Client Services,IDC said “With 25.9 percent month-on-month growth, 4G based smartphone accounted for more than half of smartphones shipped in October. This gain is mainly at the expense of 3G enabled handsets as vendors are replacing their existing models with 4G based smartphones”

Lenovo,Xiaomi & Vivo grow together month over month sales of 18% in October in India. Researchers say that the market of 4G enabled markets will go even more higher when Reliance Jio with come up with 4G. Everyone is waiting for Reliance Jio’s 4G services because they have unified licence for all over India. They got in one attempt.They have a positive point of getting spectrum for all the circles of India. This will help them gaining more & more customers as every customer wants a good roaming facility. So we know that the roaming facility will be provided by reliance Jio.
