Android distribution shows marshmallow still struggling at just 4.6%

As we analyze numbers dropping for some Android versions like Lollipop from 36.1% to 35.8%, KitKat to 33.4% from 34.3%, Jelly Bean to 21.3% from 22.3%, and ICS to 2.2% from 2.3%.

Android Distribution rate for latest versions seems to be slow because manufactures are pushing out updates slowly. Google need to align with manufactures to distribute OS updates quickly. Android Marshmallow distribution rate is relatively very slow if we compare to competing platforms like iOS and Windows 10 Mobile.
