Apple iPhone 6S vs Samsung Galaxy S7/S7 Edge vs LG G5: Comparison Overview

Samsung  & LG released their 2016 flagships in MWC 2016 which is still going on. While the Samsung’s flagship is called The Samsung Galaxy S7/S7 Edge & LG named it’s flagship as LG G5. All of these smartphones are great smartphones when compared. But what if we compare these Android kings to Apple iPhone 6S which is also a very popular smartphone & offers every top notch quality & user experience. Now today in this comparison we are going to compare the Samsung Galaxy S7/S7 Edge & LG G5 with Apple iPhone 6S. It’s going to be a tough fight but we already know that Android smartphones always provide better specs compared to Apple iPhones.

Design:

When we take a look at the design of all these devices, it is clear that the war in 2016 isn’t going to be easy. They all are having metal/Glass body. While till 2015, LG was having poly-carbonate/Leather body for their flagship phones but now in 2016 the trend is totally changed. Now the company has moved few steps ahead of others with modular design of LG G5 where you can remove the bottom portion & connect many other accessories in it.

Samsung has also made some very small changes in its design compared to 2015. Now in 2016, they have followed the design of Samsung Galaxy Note 5 with curved back. The camera module is also made thinner this time.

Now here comes the Apple iPhone 6S which is having the same design since 2014 with Apple iPhone 6. It is very known to all that Apple changes design every 2 years. So we can expect a brand new design with iPhone 7 which will be launched later this year. before that we will see iPhone 5se.

Display:

Display is a factor that makes us totally comfortable or uncomfortable with it. Samsung has opted for a 5.1 inch QHD resolution display for it’s 2016 flagship which is same as 2015.

While LG used to have 5.5-inch display for its flagships till 2015 but in 2016, the company opted for a 5.3-inch display with same resolution.

Apple iPhone 6S is having 4.7 inch display with a resolution of 750 x 1334 pixels.

RAM:

RAM is the department where Android devices were always way ahead of Apple. While in 2015/16 , Apple if offering just 2GB of RAM, all the major Android players have moved to at least 4GB of RAM for their flagship devices. Samsung Galaxy S7/S7 Edge as well As LG G5, all are having 4GB of RAM which are fast also.

Processor:

LG launched its LG G5 with Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 Quad-Core 64-bit processor. Same is the case with Samsung but they have another US only variant with their own Exynos 8890 Octa-Core processor.

Apple iPhone 6S is having Dual-core 1.84 GHz Apple A9 chipset which is home-made by Apple itself.

So clearly we have Samsung & LG the more powerful smartphones on the planet.

Camera:

Camera is a main differentiating factor nowadays for a major smartphone from a company. We want to buy a phone based on its camera quality also. We pay a major attention to the camera quality.

The Samsung Galaxy S7/S7 Edge are having 12 MP camera in them with the new Dual Pixel technology that promises to give best shots in low light. It also has 5MP camera on the front side with better aperture.

The LG G5 device comes with it’s 16MP camera on the rear with dual camera setup & laser focus. On the front it has an 8MP sensor which is very promising.

The next is Apple iPhone 6S , which is also equipped with 12MP camera on the rear side. The iPhone 6S comes with 5MP camera on the front side.

Battery:

Battery was always considered most before taking any smartphone. But we have never seen any flagship phone with very huge battery inside it like some 4000-5000 mAh because of design issues.

But his year LG has done great job with LG G5 with its modular design. It lets you replace your battery in just seconds. While in terms of specs, the LG G5 comes with 2800 mAh battery inside it.

The Samsung Galaxy S7/S7 Edge are having 3000mAh/3600mAh batteries inside them.

Apple has always been criticized for it’s battery inside iPhones. The iPhone 6S comes with just 1715 mAh battery which is very less compared to a 4.7-inch HD display.

Operating System:

While the Samsung Galaxy S7/S7 Edge runs Android Marshmallow, the Apple iPhone 6S runs iOS 9.
