Asus reveals plans for upgrading older devices to Android Marshmallow

Some time ago Google officially revealed Android 6.0 Marshmallow, their next generation of Android operating system. Android 6.0 brings lots of features, improvements and fixes over Android 5.0 Lollipop. You can read all about Android M, including new features and detailed changelog by clicking here.

Whenever Google releases new version of Android, users ask about update for their devices. Most of the OEMs have not revealed when their old phones getting Android 6.0 update, however Taiwan based company Asus has finally revealed, Android 6.0 Marshmallow upgrade plan for their  ASUS Smartphones.

Asus is planning to support the Android M upgrade for below models:

  • PadFoneS (PF500KL)
  • ZenFone2 (ZE550ML/ZE551ML)
  • ZenFone2 Deluxe / Special Edition (ZE551ML)
  • ZenFone2 Laser (ZE500KG/ZE500KL/ZE550KL/ZE600KL/ZE601KL)
  • ZenFone Selfie (ZD551KL)

However there is no word for when their aging Zenfone 5 or Zenfone 6 getting the Marshmallow upgrade, but we expect company will soon provide more details about when Android MarshMallow upgrade coming to these older phones.
