Asus had already announced the Asus Zenfone 3 series of devices back in June. The 3rd generation of Asus Zenfone smartphones are doing good in terms of revenue for Asus.
Now there is a new report which talks about the next smartphones from Asus, the Asus Zenfone 4 series. As per the report, the Asus Zenfone 4 series will be announced in May this year. The company is also planning to sell 20 million smartphones in the year 2017. It is very much clear that the next Asus Zenfone series will come with better specifications and features than the current Asus Zenfone models. The company has shipped only 17.5 million of units in the year 2016. While in 2015, the company shipped 20.5 million units. So this means that Asus saw a decrease in the sales volume even after introducing more and improved phones.
We are not sure what models of Asus Zenfone 4 series will be announced in May 2017. We can expect an Asus Zenfone 4, Asus Zenfone 4 Deluxe, Asus Zenfone Max and Asus Zenfone Laser etc.
