Yes, you heard it right, Blackberry will make only Android smartphones in 2016. BB 10 will be dumped on the way right now. Blackberry is interested in Android OS smartphone because recently they had got a taste of success its Android smartphone that called Blackberry Priv.
Company will launch two smartphones and both will run on Google’s mobile software, CEO John Chen confirmed in an interview at CES in Las Vegas. John Chen also said BlackBerry plans to sell the Priv in 31 countries over the next few quarters.
If you are Blackberry fan than you will disappoint because company has only plans for Android OS based smartphone. So this majority focus will be on Android smartphone, BB 10 gets less attention in 2016.
The company also said that Priv smartphone help to improve company’s liability, repair and brand value as well. However they refused to comment on the availability and details of the upcoming Android smartphones.
