Cyanogen has teased an interesting new features over its Google+ account. The teaser hints “App Protection” coming to CM13 soon. As can be seen in the above image, once an app has been protected it needs one to enter a password to use it or as indicated for future implementation it may be accessed via “Fingerprint sensor” authentication too.
Rewrote a bit of the protected apps implementation. It properly intercepts intents now for any application which has a protected component, and even allows for fingerprint authentication if your device supports it.
Cyanogen Mod OS has been well known for such interesting features that it brings over vanilla Android implementation. The App protection feature very well looks like one of such features that gives Cyanogen certain advantage over other Android vendors.
