Essential Phone with 5.71-inch QHD full display, 4GB RAM, Snapdragon 835 & 13MP+13MP dual cameras launched for $699

Andy Rubin, the original creator of world’s most widely used mobile platform Android, has now official launched his first smartphone under the Essential brand. The phone from Andy Rubin is called the Essential Phone.

What we get with Essential Phone is a 5.71-inch QHD full-screen display with an aspect ratio of 19:10 which is even wider than the Samsung Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8+. It’s a true flagship for future with its unique display and features. There is a fingerprint scanner located at the back below the dual camera module. The smartphone has a full-screen display and that makes it weak but don’t worry. Andy has taken care of that and has used Titanium instead of aluminum found in present smartphones. The company has also performed some good performance and drop tests for this display and Titanium frame. We get Titan frame on the sides but what about the back? On the back, the Essential Phone comes with Ceramic body. The front is covered with Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

Other specifications include 4GB of RAM and a huge 128GB of basic storage. The storage standard used is UFS 2.1 which is one of the fastest on the planet. There is an Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 mobile platform powering the Essential Phone by Andy Rubin. The 10nm Snapdragon 835 chipset is coupled with Adreno 540 GPU for heavy games.

Coming to the camera capabilities, the Essential Phone t comes with a 13MP Dual RGB + Mono camera with image fusion technology and another 13MP True Monochrome mode sensors on the back. It has got LED flash as well as PDAF and Laser autofocus. The aperture size of these lenses is f/1.85 and come with 4K support. On the front, we get an 8MP sensor with f/2.2 aperture and 4K video support.

Some special features include a magnetic connector at the back. It lets you connect some accessories that will be available later. It is initially coming with 360-degree camera connector.
