Hello friends, we have seen quite a few rumors and speculations about an upcoming device from Reliance Jio. The company was rumored to launch a feature phone in India with 4G VoLTE support. Reliance Jio took market into storm with it’s unlimited free calling and Internet offer for pan India. The company announced back in September an offer called ‘Jio Welcome Offer’ wherein customers opting for a new Jio connection were getting free calls, messages, Internet and Jio service free till 31st December 2016. But later on 1st December, the company announced a new offer termed as ‘Jio Happy New Year’ offer which brought unlimited all the free service till 31st March 2017.
Now the rumors seem to be true as we have the very first look of the 4G VoLTE enabled feature phone from Jio. We don’t know what this phone be named or what features will it bring on board. But from the above Image, it is clear that the upcoming device from Jio has simple keypad based form factor. It has My Jio button, Jio TV button, Jio Cinema button and Jio Music button at the top. Below that we have thr regular buttons which we generally see in any feature phone.
As per sources, the upcoming device from Jio will come with Android operating system. It will use Spreadtrum chipset for 4G VoLTE. The phone will be priced at ₹1299.
