Google Nexus 6 gets a new OTA to downgrade it to Android Nougat 7.0

Nexus

Recently Google had released the Android Nougat 7.1.1 update to the Nexus 6 smartphone.

Now the company is rolling out another OTA update to the Nexus 6.  Some users were reporting issues with the previousupdate to Nexus 6. Android Pay was also reportedly broken. This update is actually a downgrade OTA update which lets you revert back to Android Nougat 7.0 .So now it seems like the company has messed up with something in the Nexus 6 and wants us to hold to Android Nougat 7.0. Google community manager had a response on Reddit page saying, ” Hey All, There was a recent OTA update for Android 7.0 that is causing confusion for some Nexus 6 users. For those of you that want to guarantee future OTA updates, you will need to get back on the 7.0 supported track. If you are experiencing issues after accepting the 7.0 update, please factory reset your device to help resolve any problems. For any Nexus 6 users that want to continue flashing/sideloading future builds, you can stay on 7.1.1 and continue to do so. Hope this clarifies! Nexus Community Manager.”

So it is still unclear what will happen to the Nexus 6.
