Google is planning to launch two smartphones Pixel and Pixel XL manufactured by HTC with its own branding. You an read all our Pixel and Pixel XL coverage by clicking here and here. Google is supposed to pack these two devices with a brand-new launcher as well. Earlier we had reported leak of this “Nexus Launcher” along with APK. It is now branded as Pixel Launcher.
Latest leaked images offer good walk-through the UI of the Pixel launcher. The Pixel launcher UI looks clean. Here are some of features of the new Pixel Launcher.
Pixel Launcher (2016) new features:
- Absence of an App Drawer icon and ability to get the App Drawer with a swipe up gesture on HomeScreen. Alternatively, by just tapping the arrow itself you can open the app drawer. You can swipe down from anywhere (except the notification and navigation bars) or hit the back button to close the drawer
- Google Search Bar has been removed and in its place we can see a calendar widget
- Existence of a Daily Wallpaper feature. Wide collection of wallpapers built-in as well.
