Hike 5.0 Update adds Hike Wallet, UPI-based Payments on Android and iOS

If you happen to use the India-made Hike messenger app on your smartphone, then chances are that the user experience is going to get a lot more fun in the near future and it will blow you away.

Yes, the Hike 5.0 update is here and it is undoubtedly the biggest update since its initial launch, a few years back.

One of the biggest addition is the introduction of UPI payment system and Hike wallet, which is ahead of WhatsApp. Hike has partnered with Yes Bank to initiate UPI-based payments. With UPI payments, you should be able to instantly transfer money from one bank to another bank within the country, for FREE. Any user with a UPI ID will be able to transfer money directly to his/her bank account.

In case, the user has no bank account, then the amount will be treated as the Hike Wallet. Hike Wallet opens up a slew of opportunities for you be it the online shopping, recharges, bill payments etc. You can do all kinds of e-actions right from within the Hike app.
