Honor V9 is now official in Russia as Honor 8 Pro. Specifications & features

Huawei’s own brand Honor has launched the Honor V9 smartphone back in February. The Honor V9 smartphone was expected to be unveiled globally as Honor 8 Pro .

And now the smartphone has been officially unveiled in Russia . It is available for purchase from company’s official website in Russia. In Russia is has been unveiled as Honor 8 Pro, not as Honor V9.

In terms of basic specifications and features, the Honor 8 Pro comes with phablet sized 5.7-inch Quad HD display with a resolution of 2560x1440p. The display panel used is much older TFT.  It is powered by an Octa-Core HiSilicon Kirin 960 chipset coupled with Mali G-71 GPU. The company is giving us an option to choose from 4GB and 6GB of LPDDR4 RAM variants. The Honor 8 Pro comes with 64GB and 128GB of internal storage variants with MicroSD card slot. In terms of camera, it has got 12MP of dual sensors at the back. The rear cameras have F/2.2 aperture which isn’t such large as expected. The main camera at rear side has dual LED flash. On the front, we have got 8MP sensor with wide angle lens. The rear camera of Honor V8 Pro is touted as world’s first mobile camera with 3D modelling. Honor has managed to fit 4000mAh battery in a 6.97mm slim frame. We expect it to provide great battery performance. Dimensions of Honor 8 Pro are 157 x 77.5 x 6.97 mm and weighing and weighs 184 grams.

The Honor V9 comes in Gold, Red, Black and Blue colors in Russia. It will be available for purchase in Europe from April 5.
