It is expected that this year, we will see a Nexus device from Google’s old partner HTC. While we don’t have any official confirmation on that . It’s all just rumors & leaks that tell us about the HTC made Nexus.
Now we have a new leak about the device which tells us about the processor being used in the upcoming Nexus device. The upcoming Nexus device has been leaked in Google’s Chromium code with codename ‘marlin’ which is the codename for the next Nexus device. Earlier it was reported that Google is working on 2 Nexus devices for 2016 also codenamed as Marlin & Sailfish. The Nexus from HTC is expected to be somewhat inspired from the HTC 10 smartphone.
The latest leak tells that the upcoming Nexus will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor instead of the Snapdragon 820 which is the current gen processor for flagship devices. We have also seen rumors that Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe will have a special variant with Snapdragon 823 in some countries. Other specs will include a 1440p(QHD) display. There will be 4GB of RAM & 32GB of basic internal storage.
