HTC One M8 getting Android 6.0 and Sense 7.0 update in Asia

Some time ago Google officially revealed Android 6.0 Marshmallow, their next generation of Android operating system. Android 6.0 brings lots of features, improvements and fixes over Android 5.0 Lollipop. You can read all about Android M, including new features and detailed changelog by clicking here.

Today, HTC One M8 is reportedly getting Android 6.0 and Sense 7.0 update in Asia, however not everyone will get the update at once. If you are wondering the software update doesn’t bring any major changes for One M8 users, rather than some new features like App permissions, which allows you to set permission regarding which app will able to get access to voice and camera.

Here is  the list of feature that comes with the software upgrade:

  • System update to Android 6.0 Marshmallow

  • App permissions: lets you define what you want to share and turn permission off any time.

  • Now on Tap: gives you access to additional information whilst on your active screen.

  • Smarter power management: Doze, a battery optimization feature.

  • Android Security update: improving device on board security.
