Seems, Apple’s latest experiment with colors and affordability is not impressing the customers in China and Australia. According to two news sources, iPhone 5C is not selling well in Australia and China.

According to fool.com article signs are not good China,

There are reports that the device isn’t selling well and that third-party retailers have begun to heavily discount the plastic model just a week after launch. That’s not a good sign for the iPhone 5c’s prospects in the Middle Kingdom.

According to an article from Sydney Morning herald, Telcos are struggling to sell iPhone 5C in Australia,

Fairfax Media spoke with staff and managers of several large telco stores in Sydney and other regions of NSW on Monday and found many had sold less than five of the 5c model since Friday, with some failing to sell any. They spoke on the condition of anonymity due to strict contractual arrangements with Apple.

Only 14 iPhone 5c models had been sold at the seven stores that divulged numbers. Another two stores that didn’t divulge figures said the 5c wasn’t selling well and that they had “plenty” in stock.

Apple store struggles to sell 5c

An Apple store employee said it was “really hard” to sell the 5c. On launch day, the store sold out of the 5s – of which they sold “thousands” – but there were “plenty” of 5c models in stock,

The pricing of iPhone 5C was expected to be lower and it was supposed to be competing in the mid-range. But as it was priced quite higher, it seems to have lost interest of customers.
