Back in September, Apple announced its next generation of smartphones. There were two devices this year also. As expected, these two devices were named as iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus both come with LCD panels. The iPhone 7 has 4.7-inch LCD display and 12Mp single rear camera. But with the iPhone 7 Plus, the company opted for 5.5-inch LCD display and dual rear cameras.
Now there are some news about the next gen iPhones. The next gen iPhones are said to come as 10th anniversary of iPhone. So Apple is planning something big for next year’s iPhones. The iPhone 7s/iPhone 8 is expected to come with 4.7-inch LCD panels. But if we talk about the iPhone 7s Plus/iPhone 8 Plus, this will come with 5.5-inch OLED display panels. The latter will come with a dual Camera setup like the iPhone 7.
This news comes form the research analyst for KGI Securities analyst Mr. Ming-Chi Kuo. Mr. Kuo says, ” We look for new 2017F iPhones to come in three models: one OLED model, and two TFT-LCD models with 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch display. We believe the OLED and 5.5-inch TFT-LCD iPhones will feature dual-camera. Based on this prediction, our forecast of dual camera adoption rate in new 2017F iPhone models is revised up from 30-40% to 65-75%. We view this increase as favoring Largan’s sales and profit momentum as it is the exclusive supplier of wide-angle and telephoto lens. It also bodes well for Apple’s dual camera software ecosystem”
If it is true, we could see huge sales for the iPhone 7s Plus/iPhone 8 Plus model.
