OnePlus seems to be serious when it comes to keeping it’s smartphones up to date with software update. Well this is true at least for their current flagship phones.
The company has now once again released another Open Beta builds of Oxygen OS for the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T. OnePlus has closed beta and open beta builds which are tested by different people. Closed beta builds are tested by some registered testers whereas Open Beta can be tested by anyone with an eligible smartphone.
The latest Open Beta build coming to OnePlus 3 is OnePlus 3 Open Beta 14 while for the OnePlus 3T, it is Open Beta 5. As both the phones het same software, these two builds are actually the same but have different name because of the smartphones. At the time when OnePlus 3 T was introduced, OnePlus already had some 9 builds of Open Beta for the original OnePlus 3.
As for as changes and new features is concerned, the latest builds bring some changes like some basic software improvements, Night mode improvements, launcher optimisation and GPS optimisation as well. Detailed Changelog is listed below,
Changelog:
- Bluetooth improvements
- Clock widget improvements
- Dark theme improvements
- Translation improvements
- GPS optimizations
- Launcher optimizations
- Night Mode optimizations
- Updated community app to 1.8
Special note :-
If you flash this Open Beta build, you’ll receive Open Beta OTAs (but not official OTAs). You’ll need to manually (clean) flash back to our official builds to continue receiving official OTAs. Rolling back to official OxygenOS versions require wiping data and cache.
