Latest update to Samsung Galaxy S8/S8+ on Verizon brings Daydream support and navigation bar changes

US based cellular network provider Verizon has now officially released a new update to the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ on it’s network.

The latest update to Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ brings some new features to the device. It comes with support for Google Daydream view, navigation bar changes, now you can send a GIF during a call and some additional changes on board. The software firmware version coming with this update is NRD90M.G950USQU1AQG4 for the Samsung Galaxy S8. And for the Samsung Galaxy S8+, the firmware update version is NRD90M.G955USQU1AQG4  coming with this update.

Google Daydream VR for your Galaxy S8/S8+

  • Daydream takes you on incredible adventures in virtual reality with Daydream View, an easy-to-wear headset, with a simple to use controller.

Send animated GIFs during phone calls

  • If you have Profile Sharing enabled (a setting in the Contacts app) on your Galaxy S8, you can send animated GIFs during phone calls.

Even more Infinity Screen

  • You can turn off the navigation bar to maximize your screen view. Toggle the small and round lock/unlock button on the left side of the navigation bar.
  • If navigation bar is unlocked, it will hide with a sliding animation. Swipe up to view the navigation bar again.
