Sony launched the Xperia XZ and Xperia X Performance with Android Marshmallow 6.0 . We were expecting the company to provide Android Nougat update to its smartphones.
Now the company has announced availability of Android Nougat update for some of the Sony Xperia devices. The very first devices include Sony Xperia XZ and Xperia X Performance. The company has already started the Sony Android Beta Program for the Sony Xperia X Performance. The company had already confirmed that it will provide the Android Nougat update to Sony Xperia X series and Xperia Z3 but at that time, the company didn’t announced actual date of availability. The first will be Xperia XZ and Xperia X Performance in the month of October. In the 2nd phase there will be Sony Xperia X and Xperia X Compact. Thr roll out of Android Nougat update for 2nd phase will start in the month of November. In the 3rd phase yhe company will have Sony Xperia Z3+, Xperia Z5 series and Xperia Z4 Tablet. The roll out of 3rd phase will start in December. Now if we talk about the 4th phase, it will have the Sony Xperia XA and Xperia XA Ultra. Roll out of Android Nougat update for 4th phase will commence sometimes in early 2017.
