Lenovo phasing out the Motorola brand for its smartphone business

In 2014, Lenovo has  acquired Motorola smartphone business from the Google. Now, Lenovo has some different plans about Motorola smartphone business. According to the statement of Motorola chief operating officer,”We plan to not only protect Motorola, but make it stronger”. He also said , “we will slowly phase out Motorola”. This statement also indicates Lenovo has planning to change Motorola brand.

However, Motorola has trusted brand in the market since the time they have entered. Although, Lenovo will not completely vanish Motorola brand from smartphones, they will merge  Lenovo and Moto brand. So we can see in future Moto brand will be used for High-End smartphones and Vibe for budget smartphones.
