List of Android Oreo (8.0) Custom ROMs for Popular Devices

Android Oreo

Android oreo is the latest iteration of Google’s Android operating system for smartphones and tablets. Although considered an incremental update, it does bring a number of improvements to the table which certainly enhances the Android experience on smartphones. (Here’s our hands-on demo and side by side comparison of Android 8.0)

But as we already know Android Oreo is not currently available to a large number of devices (unless you have a Google Pixel or Nexus device) and OEMs have to reveal plans as/if and when the update will be pushed to existing devices. It is clear that you will have to wait for a few months before the OEM send across the latest bits to your phone.

However, if you are comfortable with installing custom ROMs on your device, you should be good enough to get the unofficial build of Android Oreo right now. Folks over at XDA have compiled a list of popular Android devices categorized across different OEMs that have unofficial ports available for them. (Do note that these are unofficial builds and will very likely contain bugs and may be unusable as daily drivers. Please read the OP of each linked thread as well as the first few posts so you know the current status of each build.)
