March security patches coming to Nexus and Pixel devices

February is over and so are the security patches for the month. Now it’s March and we need to have the latest security patches from Google.

Now Google has released the new security patches to their official devices. The latest OTA comes as March 2017 Security Patches for the eligible devices. It brings security patches upto March 5, 2017 to these devices. The Update is also available on the Google Factory images website.

The most severe of these issues is a Critical security vulnerability that could enable remote code execution on an affected device through multiple methods such as email, web browsing, and MMS when processing media files.’

Eligible devices:

  • Pixel (NOF27B)
  • Pixel XL (NOF27B)
  • Nexus 6P (N4F26T)
  • Nexus 5X (N4F26T)
  • Nexus 6 (N6F26U)
  • Nexus 9 LTE (N4F26T)
  • Nexus 9 Wi-Fi (N4F26T)
  • Pixel C (N4F26T)
