MIUI 8 coming on 10th May along with Xiaomi Max & Mi Band 2.

We have already reported about Xiaomi working on to launch a 6.4-inch phablet called as the Xiaomi Max. The company had already conducted an online poll for the name of their next device & it was confirmed to be called as Xiaomi Max. It was also confirmed in a leak poster that the Xiaomi Max will be launching on 10th May. The Xiaomi MAx was already spotted on benchmarking site GFXBench.

Now the company has published a post in their official MIUI forum stating that they will be launching the Xiaomi Max & Xiaomi Mi Band 2 along with the next OS called MIUI 8. The MIUI forum has a post called ‘Xiaomi MIUI 8 Launch: Happening on May 10 (New Notification Shade Revealed)‘. This post has some major details about the products being launched on 10th may event.

It states, “Hey MIUIers,

Here comes the great news of today. MIUI 8, a new big update of Mi phones’ operating system, will be launched on May 10. You’ll witness the launch of MIUI 8, Mi Max and Mi Band 2 on the event in May.

Evolving from the first version in 2010, MIUI has served as the operating system for over 150 million across the globe. I am sure all of your devices have updated to the latest version of MIUI 7, no matter you are using stable or developer ROMs.”

“On May 10, we will introduce you MIUI 8, with the features you always wanted and new designs beyond your imagination. New design, with new experience. “
