Netflix update on Android adds the ability to download content on SD Card

Netflix

Netflix has introduced yet another fan favourite feature to its streaming service, which will surely entice majority of the Netflix community, Android users, mostly.

After the company added support for offline viewing on Android and iOS back in November 2016, the new feature will allow you to choose where exactly you want to store the downloadable content, which is surely a pretty nifty feature. (Sorry, iPhone users).

Offline Storage option Netflix

This will help users with little internal storage on their phones and by adding an SD Card, you will be to save extra content for your offline viewing pleasure, or when you are on the move, and streaming doesn’t do you well.

The update carries the version number 4.13.0 build 14540.

Here is the official changelog:

  • SD Card support*. New “Download Location” app setting that lets you control where to save downloaded content:Internal Storage or SD Card (new permission requested)
  • Bug fixes
*This feature is not available on all devices.
