Nextbit Robin gets close beta of Android Nougat 7.0

Every smartphone manufacturer is busy nowadays developing new products and software updates to their most important devices. As Google has already released the next version of Android i.e. Android Nougat.

Now we have a new manufacturer getting into the Android Nougat update league. The latest manufacturer to join this league is Nextbin for its cloud-first Nextbit Robin smartphone. The company has now started development and testing of Android Nougat firmware for the Nextbit Robin. The company has now released the closed beta firmware for Nextbit Robin. The closed beta ROM is available for those who have registered for this on company’s online forum.

The latest Android Nougat firmware comes with August security patches from Google. It has size of 1GB and is available as ‘Robin_Nougat_25’ . The company is working with popular ROM maker Paranoid Android(PA) for faster updates. Nextbit’s Chief Technology Officer, Mike Chan said on this partnership, “They [Paranoid Android] are a talented group of developers and we’re excited to be working with them to make sure Robin runs even better whether you’re running NextbitOS, or Paranoid Android.”
