Google’s new PhotoScan app, is a scanner app which helps you to easily scan and save (digitize) old prints or photographs using the phones camera.
What this means is, if you happen to have some old photographs taken during 90’s days, Google claims their app significantly improves the photo to a larger extent.
Of course, the scan process seems to be intuitive, cheaper and very convenient than the conventional scanning and editing on a PC. Take a look in the video below.
Don’t just take a picture of a picture. Create enhanced digital scans, with automatic edge detection, perspective correction, and smart rotation.
PhotoScan stitches multiple images together to remove glare and improve the quality of your scans.
You can always back up your scans with the free Google Photos app to keep them safe, searchable, and organised. The new Google Photos app also received an update which brings movies, filters and advanced editing controls.
The app is currently available on Android and iOS, with no word on the Windows platform.
