The much awaited game, Pokemon GO is now available in India, thanks to Reliance-Niantic partnership. The game which is free to play, is already available for download on Android and iOS, and will enable Jio customers to play the game without worrying about the data charges, because of the Reliance Jio’s Happy New Year offer announced earlier.
“Our partnership with Niantic helps our customers to enjoy content on Jio’s mobile broadband network,” Mathew Oommen, President, Reliance Jio, said in a statement.

As part of this partnership, all the Reliance digital stores and Jio retail locations throughout the country will appear as PokéStops and Gyms within the game.
Moreover, Gamers can take advantage of the Pokémon GO channel on the JioChat messaging app where they can collaborate with other community members and get daily dose of tips, contests and clues etc
