Redmi Note 4 (Indian Variant) receiving May Security Patch With Latest Update

redmi note

Launched back in January 2017, Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 4 is the budget and battery king when it comes to top mid-range smartphone choice. Not only the smartphone gives you long battery life but performance wise, Xiaomi has done a great job with Android-based MIUI software.

If you happen to own one, and with that, I mean the Indian or Snapdragon 625 variant, then you may be receiving a fresh new update on your device. The update v8.2.10.0.MFCMIDL carries a size of just 30MB and brings along the May security patch (which is old) for the smartphone, revealed by the release notes.

In addition, the software update also addresses issues related to SD card and IP telephony. The Lockscreen, Status Bar, and Notification Bar also happen to get some issues fixed and so is the Gallery.

Xiaomi has also enabled VoLTE support for Airtel SIM card users, and by the looks of it, it feels weird considering the fact that many users are already enjoying VoLTE calls through Airtel from months. Nonetheless, we will see what is in store.
