Reliance has unveiled its highly customer-friendly Jio Network plans with benefits like Free Voice calling, Free Roaming, very cheap 4G data rates and “unlimited at night” data feature. You can refer to our earlier article for Reliance Jio prepaid and postpaid plans and how to get a Jio 4G SIM.
Now nothing in this big bad world comes without a catch or has some hidden limitations. So in this case this unlimited at night data feature is not so unlimited. It is valid between only 2 am to 5 am. As per official Reliance FAQ,
What is the ‘Unlimited at Night’ offer and what is it’s applicability?
‘Unlimited at Night’ pertains to data usage in the night and is applicable between 2am – 5am.
In case you are wondering about porting your existing number to Jio network, you can do so.
Can I port in my existing mobile number to Jio?
As part of the Free Welcome Offer, you can port in your existing mobile number to Jio.
1) To port in, send PORT Mobile Number to 1900 from your existing number which needs to be ported to Jio.
2) Download MyJio app from Play Store and generate offer code.
3) Walk in to any of the Reliance Digital / Dx Mini / Preferred Jio retailer or prominent multi-brand Jio stores with the port out code and your Free Welcome Offer code along with the handset.
4) You will need to submit a copy of Proof of Address, Proof of Identity and a photograph for availing your Jio SIM.
