Samsung is today pushing an update to their native Samsung Internet Browser that comes pre-installed in Samsung phones. The new update brings ability to install Ad Blocker plugins. This is a great change knowing that Samsung browsers have always been on a slower side comparing to Google Chrome and any other browsers. Now the company has pushed this update to phones with Lollipop or newer. It is inspired by Apple where they introduced Ad blocking in Safari with iOS9. This also reduces ads on the page . With this, the overall browsing experience is smoother because ads are less & pages are opening faster.

Google Chrome browser which already a must have app for Android users, comes with this feature. Chrome supports extensions that block ads. We have already seen this as very common between power users of PC. They have many tricks and apps that block ads in the browser on PC> Now things are getting serious in the mobile world also.

Samsung also claims that the average time taken by page loading has also been reduced by 51 percent which is a major  bump in the Samsung’s browser. It is available for download for phones with Samsung Internet 4.0 from here
