Comparison overview of Lenovo Lemon 3 and Xiaomi Redmi 3

It was just Monday of this week when surprisingly Xiaomi announced it’s budget offering Redmi 3 in China. Customers haven’t even got their hands on & there are competitors to this phone with better specs  to offer. The latest & most close competitor to this phone is newly launched Lenovo Lemon 3 which has better specs for the same price. Both the smartphone are priced at CNY 699 in China because they have only been introduced in China only till now.

Price :

This is a category in which we can not compare them because they are launched for exactly the same price. Both the smartphones are available in China for CNY 699 which is directly equal to approx $152.

Specs & Features :

Display:

The very first thing we look in a phone is display size  and quality. OS let;’s compare the display of these two devices. Both the devices are having 5 inch display with different resolutions. In Xiaomi Redmi 3 we have HD display with 720x1280p resolution whereas in Lenovo Lemon 3, the display resolution has been bumped to Full HD with 1080x1920p .Both the phones have IPS display. SO here in display category the Lenovo Lemon 3 has an edge over Xiaomi Redmi 3.

Processor :

Here comes the heart of the phone, the processors used in this. Both the phones use Quualcomm’s Snapdragon 616 Octa Core 64bit processor with same frequency. So e can compare these two smartphone when we get to use them because both the smartphone are sunning different customized UI from their manufacturers.

Memory & Storage :

In this department also the both phones are in same condition with similar specs.The Lenovo Lemon 3 and the Xiaomi Redmi 3 , both have 2GB of RAM in it  In terms of storage both the phones are equally equipped with 16GB of internal storage. There is a micro SD card slot in both which supports Micro SD cards of upto 128GB.

Camera :

If we take at the camera hardware in both the devices, it’s quite similar with 13MP rear camera on both & 5MP camera on the front of both the smartphones. BUt if we take a close look at the camera hardware of Xiaomi, it gives us PDAF in it’s camera which itself is a feature to be seen only in high end segment. It gives us easier & faster focus in smartphones. Xiaomi claims it’s Redmi 3 to focus in 0.1 seconds time frame. We can not comment on the camera quality before testing both the units. It is rater just hardware & specs comparison.

Operating System :

Operating System also plays a very vital role in any smartphone’s performance. When it comes ot comparison of two smartphones, we can easily say that OS is very necessary to be compared because every new OS brings some unique & new features .But here in this case, both the smartphones are sunning Android Lollipop in them based on their custom UI . The Lenovo Lemon 3 runs Vibe UI 2.5 whereas Xiaomi Redmi 3 runs MIUI 7.

Battery :

Finally this is a point without which a phone is of no use.One should take a very good care & review of battery of a phone before buying it. Many smartphones nowadays doesn’t perform well in terms of battery. S if e compare these two smartphones in terms of battery then the Xiaomi Redmi 3 has great edge over the Lenovo Lemon 3. In Lenovo Lemon 3 we are getting 2750mAh battery which is good enough considering the display size & pixels in the phone but when you will meet Xiaomi Redmi 3, you will come to know that you can get bigger battery also for the same price.
