T-Mobile begins roll out of Android 6.0.1 for Nexus 6

Some time ago Google officially revealed Android 6.0 Marshmallow, their next generation of Android operating system. Recently Android 6.0 Marshmallow rolled out has been started for Nexus 6 users on T-Mobile. Today, T-Mobile is rolling out Android 6.0.1 update for Nexus 6 devices, for those who are wondering Android 6.0.1 is not a major update, rather then it contains bug fixes saw in Android 6.0 update.

To be able to update to the current software version, the below requirements must be met:

  • MRA58K
  • 50% or higher battery life
  • Data connection
  • Available space (File size is 178.2MB)

 

Download and install software update

You can download and install the software update:

Update software from the phone

To check for updates and download the update from Google  servers, follow these steps:

  1. From the Home screen, tap Settings.

  2. Tap About phone.

  3. Tap System Updates.

  4. Tap Check now.

  5. Follow the on-screen prompts.
