Twitter introduces 360 degree live video streaming on Periscope

Twitter is introducing a new feature for Periscope which will let you share the precious moments in 360 degree video, live.

In a blog post, Twitter talks about how the live 360 feature will put you in more immersive experience than before. When your friend starts a live broadcast, you will be able to view the surroundings and interact as if you are actually there.

On the down side, not everyone will able to broadcast in 360 degree since the service is currently only available for some chosen front-row broadcasters but you will be able to join live 360 videos on Periscope as well as on Twitter, starting today.

So, how do you know which broadcast is the 360 one? It is simple, actually. Every Live 360 video is marked with a badge either on Twitter or the Periscope. You can tap or scroll around the screen to take a look around the stream.

If you want to sign up for the feature, fill in the particulars on this page here
