US Courts To Ban Old Samsung Smartphones including Note 3

Today Apple has won its lawsuit against Samsung over patent infringements. So as a effect Samsung has been  ordered to stop selling a handful of smartphones. The list goes like this.

Galaxy Nexus, Galaxy Note,
Galaxy Note 2, Galaxy S2, Galaxy S2 Epic 4G Touch, Galaxy S2 Skyrocket, Galaxy S3, and Stratosphere this smartphones are banned from sale.

Here is statement of California’s judge Lucy Koh:

“The court finds that Apple will suffer irreparable harm if Samsung continues to use its use of the infringing features, that monetary damages cannot adequately compensate Apple for this resulting irreparable harm, and that the balance of equities and public interest favor entry of a permanent injunction,”

However, this order affect on only Samsung’s old smartphones. New smartphones will continues to sell. This court order will damage samartphone business in US.

Here is statement  From Samsung:

“While this will not impact American consumers, it is another example of Apple abusing the judicial system to create bad legal precedent which can harm consumer choice for generations to come,”
