Verizon’s Galaxy Note 5 gets Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow Update

Today Verizon’s Galaxy Note 5 variant  is getting Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow in US. It is receiving build MMB29K, latest version of Android.

The update is scheduled on 4 march and if you don’t get it just check Settings>About Device>Software updates>Check for Updates.

The first Galaxy device at Verizon to receive Android’s latest Marshmallow OS update. Major features include:

Now on Tap anticipates what you need in the moment. With a simple tap, you can get cards with useful information and apps that feed your need to know.
When you’re not using your device, Doze automatically puts it into a sleep state, preserving your battery charge.
Android Marshmallow lets you define what you want to share and when. You can turn permissions on or off at any time, too*.
Wi-Fi Calling:
This software update provides Wi-Fi Calling for HD Voice users. You can activate HD Voice directly on the device by to going to
Settings > Advanced Calling > Activate Advanced Calling .
Once Advanced Calling is activated, you can go to the same Advanced Calling setting menu and turn on Wi-Fi Calling.
Live Broadcast improvements
You can access Live broadcast by tapping
Camera > Mode> Live broadcast
Create a shortcut on home screen for quick access to this cool feature. You can do so by tapping on the checkbox “Create shortcut on Home screen” on the welcome screen or go to Settings> Create shortcut
Send Live broadcast invites to contacts not saved on your phone. You can now enter a phone number directly when you tap on Invite button.

App removal:
Amazon® Appstore has been removed.
