Xiaomi is set to launch its upcoming Android based smartphone named Mi 5X in China, on July 26. The launch date was officially confirmed recently and the people attending/watching the event will also witness the launch of MIUI 9 software upgrade.

Earlier leaks suggested that the Mi 5X will feature a 5.5 inch 1080p screen, 2GHz Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor (with Adreno 506 GPU) and 4GB of RAM. It will run Android Nougat based MIUI 9 out of the box and will feature a 3000mAh battery.
While it has been made clear from official images that there will also be a dual-camera, USB-C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Color options include: Black, Gold and Rose Gold/Pink.
