Yesterday we reported that Xiaomi was teasing for some announcement to be happen in India for today. IT is nothing like a smartphone launch event but just a team of 100 explorers who will get their first hands on to the device before even launch. The new device that we will see in India will be Redmi Note 3 which was introduced last year in China. It was a full metal device with fingerprint scanner on the back. Xiaomi also claims that the fingerprint scanner is one of the fastest & it can unlock your device within 0.3 seconds.Users who will take part in the 100 explorers challenge, will also get a chance to win Xiaomi Mi Band each day.
The device was launche din China with two variants , one with MediaTek Helio X10 chipset & another with Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 chipset. We are quite sure hat Indian variant won’t be having MediaTek chipset as Xiaomi & Ericsson have some patent dispute which won’t allow Xiaomi to sell it’s MediaTek powered smartphones in India.

As there isn’t any official news about release date for the phone but it is quite sure that we can see it announced on or after 31st January. The explorer program continues till 31st January so we can see any announcement news on or after that.
