Xiaomi has scheduled an event for 26th July where the company will unveil a new smartphone with new version of it’s own OS. MIUI is the version or name of OS we see in Xiaomi based smartphones based on Android.
Now the company has officially announced the list of smartphones that will be getting the upcoming MIUI 9. The list includes some very old smartphones like the Mi 2 or Mi 2S. It is well known that Xiaomi Mi 2/2s was unveiled back in April 2013. The company is releasing MIUI 9 for the Mi 2/2s because the CEO Mr. Lei Jun claims that there are still approx 2 million users of Mi 2/2s. The MIUI 9 will be available to More or Mi 2s in China variant ( MIUI 9 China ROM).
