We have seen several leaks and rumors that Xiaomi is working on a Virtual Reality headset. The device was never made official by the company.
Now the company has created a new Weibo account for their VR headset devision. There is a verified account on Weibo named ‘Xiaomi VR live on Weibo. Xiaomi is already named as one of the handset manufacturer that can make Daydream based handsets in future with Android Nougat.
Xiaomi’s GM, Mr. Tang Mu had already confirmed that the company will be launching a new VR headset in August but there wasn’t any details available about it.
