Android Marshmallow on rise: hits 2.3% (up from 1.2%)

Today Google has released the updated monthly Android distribution numbers. According to the stats, Android Marshmallow activation has reached to 2.3% which is double as compared to previous Month. In February Android Marshmallow was on 1%. But due to numerous releases of updates of Android Marshmallow by OEMs, it has gone up now.

As we analyze numbers,  KitKat is now on 34.3% and it is the second widest used operating system though going down month by month. Android Lollipop has 36.1% share, jellybean on 22.3%, ice cream sandwich on 2.3% and gingerbread on 2.6% as well.

Android Marshmallow adoption rate will increase with launch of new smartphones running Android Marshmallow out of the box and with release as software update to more smartphones.
