BlackBerry Aurora is now official with 5.5-inch HD display, 4GB RAM & Snapdragon 425 chipset

BlackBerry has launched the Blackberry KEYOne smartphone at the MWC 2017. We had already reported that the KEYOne isn’t the only product Canadian OEM is bringing to us in 2017. Another BlackBerry smartphone named Aurora was leak online in HD renders. It was also reported that the company is planning to launch the BlackBerry Aurora smartphone on 9th March.

And now the Blackberry Aurora has been officially unveiled. The product has been announced from company’s official partner BB Merah Putin in Indonesia where BlackBerry is still one of the demanding phone brand. It is a mid range product from Blackberry and is also said to be their first dual SIM product till date.

In terms of specifications, the BlackBerry Aurora comes with 5.5-inch HD (1280x720p) display. There is 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage with micro SD card support. At the heart of BlackBerry Aurora, we have a Quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 chipset. The smartphone runs Android Nougat 7.0 out of the box. There is a 13MP camera on the back with dual tone LED Flash. On the front, it has an 8MP sensor.  It is a dual SIM device and has 3000mAh battery. The only thing missing in BlackBerry’s Aurora is fingerprint scanner and a mid range chipset like some Snapdragon 6xx series.

Price & Release date:

The Blackberry Aurora comes in Silver, Gold and Black colors. It will be available for purchase starting from 12 March for a price of RP 3499000  in Indonesia.
