The Bluetooth Special Interest Group (Bluetooth SIG) had introduced us a little about the Bluetooth 5 back in early June.
Now the Bluetooth 5 has been fully made official by the Bluetooth SIG. The specifications of Bluetooth 5 have also been clarified. The Bluetooth 5 comes with improved performance and coverage. It has been improved and now has 2x speed as compared to Bluetooth 4.2 . The Bluetooth 5 has 4x coverage range as compared to Bluetooth 4.2 . It also has 8x broadcasting message capacity. The Bluetooth 5 also focuses on improving the functionality on Bluetooth for IoT devices as it’s the future.
