Cyanogen has started rolling out the 12.1.1 update for the OnePlus, which also includes Cortana on their smartphone. Cyanogen has partnered Microsoft back in 2015 for Office, Cortana & some other integration of Microsoft services in their OS. Cortana is a digital personal assistant developed by Microsoft. It was first released to Windows Phone users running Windows Phone 8.1 .
The OnePlus One will support ‘Hey Cortana’ keyword that lets you have wireless control your device without touch. Microsoft released a beta app of Cortana to Android users back in 2015 & later it was released to public in the Google Play Store.Now anyone can download & try out the new personal digital assistant from Microsoft.
The feature can be disabled just by a simple tap. If you like Google Now more than Cortana, you can simply disable it.But ‘Hey Cortana’ is deeply integrated into they system of Cyanogen which will be very useful & many Windows Phone users don’t have his feature due to hardware limitations.
Right now Cortana is limited to US only which will soon come to other countries also. It can be uninstalled too via just going to settings.
