DataWind, the company which created Indian government’s Aakash tablet i now launching their smartphones with free internet fr a full year. The company today launched two smartphones which are just entry level smartphones. These a smartphones are named as DataWind PocketSurfer 2G4X & PocketSurfer 3G4Z. As the name suggests the first smartphone is 2G only while the second one is 3G variant.
The PocketSurfer 2G4X is equipped with 3.5″ (320x480p) display. It is having 256MB RAM with 1GHz Single Core processor. In terms of internal storage the device is equipped with 512MB while there is an expandable memory slot which supports upto 32GB. It has VGA camera on the front as well as back. In the software front, device runs dated Android Jellybean 4.2.2 .
If we talk about the bigger variant PocketSurfer 3G4Z , it is equipped with 4-inch (480x800p) display.The device is having 512MB RAM along wit 4GB internal storage which can be expanded upto 32GB using a Micro SD card. This device also runs 1GHz single core processor. In the camera department, this device is well equipped with 5MP camera on the back with LED flash. It has a VGA camera on the front side. This device runs Android Kitkat 4.4.2 .

Free internet is the USP of these devices. When you buy these devices,yo get an offer which lets you use free internet on Reliance or Telenor for one full year. But this offer has some limitations too, “Free access to internet does not include audio/video streaming or local-downloads, which can alternatively be accessed by topping-up using market plans”
