Indian company Ringing Bells Pvt Ltd, today just announced world’s cheapest smartphone priced for Rs. 251(around $4) with taxes named as Freedom 251. Earlier the company said it ot be priced under Rs. 500 but today it was officially revealed that the price will be Rs. 251.
Now we have some very early hands on images of Freedom 251 smartphone. The images were published by a user(Hitesh Raj Bhagat) on Twitter. If we take a look at the hands on images, it looks quite similar to the Apple iPhone 6/6s from the front with Home button on the bottom of the display. From the back side, it looks Apple iPhone 5C with plastic build. The review unit was having flag of India on the back with the phone name ‘Freedom 251’ written on the bottom.
The icons in the app drawer are also having same icons like IOS. It is highly copied or we’ll say inspired by iPhone in terms of design as well as software UI.
It is also worth noting that the actual images are different from what the company has shown us on their official website. The hands on images are in line with what we have seen in the news papers of toady. The home button also resembles Apple’s Touch ID fingerprint scanner button with metallic ring around it.
