Google has no plans to make Nexus smartphone but will focus more on OEM’s design

Google CEO Mr .Sundar Pichai was in an interview with Walt Mossberg at ‘Code Conference 2016’ where he talked about company’s plans on Android, Nexus & other services. He talked about making Android much more productive than ever.

He also said that the company doesn’t have any plans to make it’s now Nexus device. This means Google won’t enter into the smartphone making business anytime soon. This simply means that Google will keep focusing on OEMs for smartphones as Nexus. When asked about company making own Nexus device he said that thwy will focus on making Android even better by ,”thoughtfully add more features on top of Android” which will make it more productive & advanced than ever. He genuinely said “No” when asked about Google making it’s own smartphone.

He also emphasized that the company will be more opinionated on OEMs & their design, “We could be more opinionated about the design of the phones, even though we are working with the OEM’s to do it. So those are all the kinds of evolution you’ll see

There was direct question to Mr. Pichai regarding their plans for the device making. Ques: “Does that mean that you are not going to make your own phones?

Aswer by Mr. Pichai : “No, our plan is still work with OEM’s to make phones.”
