HTC U (Ocean) with Bluetooth 5.0 and Snapdragon 835 passes through Bluetooth SIG

HTC is working on a true flagship to show us in 2017. The company has already released HTC U Ultra as a flagship grade product with Snapdragon 821 as Snapdragon 835 wasn’t available at that time (January).

Earlier this month, we reported about a new upcoming flagship product from HTC, the HTC U Ocean. It was reported in HD renders. The Flagship smartphone from HTC for 2017 was teased as HTC Ocean. Three devices​ were supposedly coming to us under the HTC Ocean series.

Now we have some information about the HTC U (Ocean) smartphone that takes us one step closer to the official launch of HTC U. The HTC U Ocean smartphone has now visited to the official Bluetooth SIG organisation. According to the Bluetooth SIG certification, the HTC U Ocean comes with Bluetooth 5.0 . It is also coming with Snapdragon 835 SoC out of the box in order to compete with Samsung Galaxy S8 and other Snapdragon 835 powered​phonez of 2017.

Release timeline:

The HTC U or HTC Ocean is expected to be released sometimes in late April this year. While the global availability will start sometimes in May.
