Android smartphone Docoss X1 has hit the headlines since yesterday thanks to its dirt-cheap pricing and now questions are being raised by many who suspect it to be another Scam in making. It is priced just Rs 888 and that price may remind you of even more highlighted Freedom 251 that hogged limelight a lot, thanks to its unmatched pricing of Rs 251. Docoss, a Jaipur-based less-known company which is behind Docoss X1 has announced that deliveries of the Docoss X1 will begin from May 2, while pre-bookings close on Friday, tomorrow. But when you try to call the customer care center of the company to know more about the company and product, the call center employees seem unprepared to tackle questions from customers. They answer like Robots and that casts shadow on the whole booking process though the payment is only via COD or Cash on Delivery and you don’t need to pay anything upfront.
So, it is not clear whether it is another scam in making but things are bit unclear at this point in time and we can only suggest you to exercise caution before booking one. In case of Freedom 251, we saw the company refunding the money it collected from some customers and later resorting to COD route. In case of Docoss X1, it is COD route from beginning, so while it may not be an issue with losing money, the company may simply sell your phone no. and address to call centers and you may be inundated with spam calls.
